Powder Coating
Powder coating is a dry finishing process. Used as functional (protective) and decorative finishes, powder coatings are available in an almost limitless range of colors and textures, and technological advancements have resulted in excellent performance properties.
All quoted prices include masking all threads, stripping, cleaning, degreasing, and coating parts. Stripping existing powder coat requires a chemical stripping process along with media blasting – additional charge may apply.
There is a 50% additional charge for 2nd coats or colors such as clear coats and translucent/anodized/candy colors due to being a 2-step coating process.
Cast aluminum and magnesium parts may experience out-gassing and or bubbling in the finished powder coating. We will take every precaution to avoid out-gassing, however Seven Star Creations cannot be held responsible for bubbling caused by porous castings.
Each piece must be fully disassembled & cleaned or additional charges will apply.
Ceramic Header Coating
Coating your headers in ceramic improves their heat resistance, and keeps them from being tarnished or damaged by the heat. In other words, ceramic coated headers look (and function) the same on mile one as they do on mile 300,000.
A ceramic header coating also provides protection against the corrosive materials in the exhaust. Ceramic is a highly durable substance that resists corrosion and stands up to a large amount of abuse. Properly coated headers are thus much more durable than the thinner pipes of uncoated headers.
Each piece must be fully disassembled & cleaned or additional charges will apply.
Cerakote Firearm Coating
Cerakote is a ceramic type material with a polymer mixed into it to help it attach to all kinds of material. Now that guns have a lot more moving parts, it is even more important to keep your gun protected from the elements.
All quoted prices include full detailed disassembly, degreasing, media blasting, masking, coating, curing & full reassembly. All weapons are cycled by hand and dry fired to test for proper function.
Media Blasting
Often referred to as “Sand Blasting”, this process is used to finish, clean or prepare metals using a variety of media in blasting machines and a blast room. Blasting removes surface debris such as rust or other types of residual contaminants and scale. Parts can be blasted, cleaned up & refreshed. This process is important in the cleaning and roughening of part surfaces before coating. The increased surface adhesion of a suitably blasted part results in a stronger bond between the coating and the parts surface.
